Resumo
Monitoring of wastewater treatment systems is part of requirement for industries to comply with legislation to achieve sustainable development. The study aim at evaluating the efficiency of treatment at Coca-Cola SABCO situated in Matola-Gare. The factory has a wastewater treatment plant with capacity to treat 50-75 m3/h in a combined anoxic/aerobic activated sludge system. For evaluation of the efficiency the parameters temperature, color, turbidity, conductivity, total dissolved solids (TDS), total suspended solids (TSS), pH, alkalinity, iron, biological oxygen demand (BOD), chemical oxygen demand (COD), total nitrogen (N total), ammonium, phosphate, sulphate and free chlorine was determined. The treatment plant present efficiencies of 58.54%, 80.75%, 70.04%, 99%, 96.67% e 73.8 % for removal of color, turbidity, iron, COD, BOD and SST, assessed in September, October and November de 2017. With the results it can be concluded that the effluent discharged, comply with CCS standards established by TCCC and local regulation.
